It was nominated for 10 Academy Awards and appears on numerous lists of top films of all time.

"Are we dressing for dinner?"

Jack Lemmon and Shirley MacLaine

C.C. Baxter or Bud to his friends, and Fran prepare for an intimate little dinner party.

"You're pretty good with that racket!"

Chris Lemmon and Sachi Parker reenact their parents' famous scene.

Tennis Pasta Anyone?!

Don't judge - it is a "bachelor pad" after all. Bud uses a tennis racket to drain his spaghetti. Pretty impressive. "Wait until you see me serve the meatballs!"

Spaghetti and Turkey Meatballs

Spaghetti and meatballs - such a great dish to serve at a dinner party. The sauce can simmer for hours - so you can make it way ahead - and just boil the pasta when you're ready to eat. I made turkey meatballs. They are a bit lighter but every bit as delicious. Tennis racket optional!

1960's Ruby Red Glass

I wanted the table setting to look casual. The red and white tablecloth gives the look of an Italian restaurant to go with our spaghetti and meatballs. The Red Ruby plates and votive holders along with the green glasses give a little bit of a Christmas look.  Afterall, Bud and Fran spend Christmas together.

A Very 60s Dessert

This dessert is definitely retro! It's colorful gelatin within a vanilla gelatin mold. It looked really cool and tasted great. A little conversation piece and a taste of the 60s! (We also served fresh fruit and chocolates.)
